The recycled plastics industry opens a new chapter!

The report on the work of recycled materials entering the government for the first time. The recycled plastics industry "opens a new chapter"!

In recent years, the growth rate of supply and demand in China's recycled plastics industry has slowed down, and the price level is not high. However, as a policy-guided industry, with the strengthening of global awareness of environmental protection, a series of policies have been issued at home and abroad, and the development of recycled plastics has entered a transition period. This year, recycled materials are included in the government's work report for the first time, and the development of the industry has ushered in opportunities.

The government's work report in 2025 mentioned for the first time that "vigorously promote the use of recycled materials", and made it clear that the annual output value of the waste recycling industry by 2025 will reach 5 trillion yuan. Combined with the 10 billion central enterprise group established last year, it can be expected that the development of China's recycling industry may usher in a leapfrog process. However, although the prospect is bright, there are some shortcomings in the recycled plastics industry itself, and the development of the industry is not smooth.

There are many kinds of recycled plastics and the quality is unstable. According to the different sources of the wool, recycled plastics are divided into many types, such as recycled PET, recycled PE, recycled PP, recycled hard rubber, recycled engineering, etc., among which the proportion of recycled PET, recycled PE and recycled PP accounts for more than 80%. The quality of recycled plastics is generally unstable, mainly because:

1. Various sources: The raw materials of recycled plastic may come from a variety of channels, including various waste plastic bottles, packaging bags, etc. Different sources lead to uneven quality of raw materials.

2. Impact of processing technology: Different processing processes will form recycled plastics with different quality levels. The processing technology includes crushing, cleaning, melting, extrusion, cutting and other links. Improper operation of any link may affect the quality of recycled plastics.

3. Collection and treatment: Impurities mixed in the collection process, incomplete cleaning during treatment, etc. will directly affect the quality of recycled plastics.

4. Testing and control: The quality testing of recycled plastics in the market is insufficient, and there is a lack of unified evaluation standards, which also makes the quality control of recycled plastics more difficult.
