Dramatic changes took place in the international crude oil futures market on Wednesday. After Iran's missile attack on the U.S. military base in Iraq, the international oil price soared in the early trading. Brent crude oil futures rose to more than $71 per barrel, the highest since mid September last year. However, no casualties were caused by the attack. After the U.S. president made a speech, the oil price began to fall. The unexpected growth of U.S. crude oil inventory exacerbated the decline in oil prices. European and American crude oil futures fell to Lowest since mid December last year. On Wednesday (January 8), WTI crude oil futures settlement price in February 2020 was $59.61 per barrel, down $3.09, down 4.9%, trading range $59.15-65.65; Brent crude oil futures settlement price in March 2020 was $65.44 per barrel, down $2.83, down 4.1%, trading range $64.94-71.75.

PVC market is basically stable, inquiry atmosphere is flat. Due to the lack of guidance of substantive good news, traders are in a strong wait-and-see mood and adjust their quotations rationally with the market. The enthusiasm of the downstream factory is limited, and the actual transaction follow-up is slow. In terms of price, the main quotation of ethylene material is about 7350-7550 yuan / ton, and the main quotation of 5-type calcium carbide material is about 6900-7250 yuan / ton, and the actual transaction can be negotiated. The PVC market was weak and stable, the trading and investment turned weak, the downstream factories gradually reduced the load operation, and the actual transaction difficulty increased.
