China is a major producer and consumer of television, computers and mobile phones worldwide. The downstream LCD TV and panel production capacity has been continuously transferred to China, which has led to the rapid development of the upstream optical film industry. However, compared with countries such as Japan and South Korea, the self-sufficiency of upstream raw materials for LCD panels in China is relatively weak, mainly relying on imports, showing a high volume of shipments, but a small proportion of revenue.

In recent years, with the support of national policies, the domestic optical film industry has made certain progress. A small number of optical film manufacturers in China have successively achieved breakthroughs in the production technology of optical film products, and the optical film products produced have gradually broken the monopoly of Japanese and Korean companies.
