Polyester Heat Shrinkable Film Is A New Type Of Heat Shrinkable Packaging Material

Polyester heat shrinkable film is a new type of heat shrinkable packaging material. Due to its easy recycling, non-toxicity, odorlessness, good mechanical properties, and especially environmental protection, polyester (PET) has become an ideal substitute for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) heat shrinkable film. However, the ordinary polyester is a crystalline high polymer, and the ordinary PET film can only obtain a heat shrinkage rate of 30% or less by a special process. To obtain a polyester film with a higher heat shrinkage rate, it must also be modified. That is, in order to prepare a polyester film having a high heat shrinkage ratio, it is necessary to copolymerize a common polyester, that is, polyethylene terephthalate. The copolymerized modified PET film has a maximum heat shrinkage rate of more than 70%.
