What is the important direction of optical film research
The optical film substrate is generally smooth and defect-free, has high gloss and light transmittance, low haze, and good coating performance. However, if the substrate is apparently flat and free from defects, the contact point between the coating and the surface of the film substrate is less, resulting in the coating liquid not easily penetrating, and it is difficult to form adsorption thereto; if the substrate has high gloss and transmittance The surface roughness of the substrate is low, resulting in less adhesion of the coating liquid to the surface of the film substrate.
At the same time, the characteristics of the PET polyester film itself, such as the high degree of crystal orientation on the surface of the PET film, make it difficult for the coating molecules to penetrate into the PET film, and it also makes it difficult to form a good interface bond with the coating. Therefore, in the preparation of PET optical film, the problem of interfacial adhesion between the substrate film and the coating is solved, which becomes another important direction of optical film research.
